GIBRALTAR VISIT
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, where Europe meets Africa. Covering just 6.8 square kilometers, it is famous for the iconic Rock of Gibraltar, a massive limestone formation rising 426 meters (1,398 feet) above sea level.Gibraltar has a rich and fascinating history spanning more than 3,000 years. The area was first inhabited by the Phoenicians, followed by the Carthaginians and the Romans. In 711 AD, the Muslim commander Tariq ibn Ziyad landed here, giving the Rock its name from the Arabic Jabal Tariq, meaning «Mountain of Tariq.» This event marked the beginning of the Moorish conquest of the Iberian Peninsula.

Upon arrival in Gibraltar, take a guided minibus tour up the Rock to admire the view of the Strait of Gibraltar, observe the proximity of the African continent from Europa point. Discover the world-famous Rock of Gibraltar, a symbol of history and natural beauty offering spectacular scenery and fascinating stories.
Get up close to Gibraltar’s legendary Barbary macaques, the only wild monkeys living freely in Europe and one of the destination’s most iconic attractions.
We will go to explore St Michel caves, this impressive natural cave, filled with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, and admire one of Gibraltar’s most breathtaking underground wonders.
After our Rock tour, we come back to the city center for free time for shopping in Main Street and lunch the tipical British «Fish & Chips».
Later we will come back to Costa del Sol.

Visitors travelling to Gibraltar should carry a valid passport. Entry requirements depend on your nationality, and some travellers may need a visa.Since Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory, its immigration rules are separate from those of Spain and the Schengen Area. Border controls are carried out when entering Gibraltar.Please note the following:
- Carry a valid passport at all times
- Check whether you require a visa before travelling
- Border checks may result in waiting times, especially during busy periods.
- If you leave Gibraltar and return to Spain, you will pass through border control again.
- Visitors should ensure they meet the entry requirements for both Gibraltar and Spain.
